What subjects do you tutor?

Ms. Kadilak specializes in upper-level math, Spanish, and emerging literacy. However, with 15 years of experience working with all ages and subjects, Ms. Kadilak is likely to be able to create a tutoring program that meets your needs.

How old should a student be to benefit from Ms. Kaddilak's tutoring services?

Ms. Kadilak specializes in middle school, high school, and college math and Spanish courses. However, she has experience teaching at all levels and in most cases can design a program that meets your student's needs in any grade. 

How do you determine the curriculum for a student?

Ms. Kadilak uses current course materials when available, in order to supplement current learning and fill in missing concepts from prior lessons. Ms. Kadilak also has access to a wide range of supplemental materials and methods to assess current understanding and work with students on the topics that will help them make the most progress in their classes.

We home school. Will private tutoring make a difference?

Yes. Ms. Kadilak can provide a new look at class material from a different perspective, which can be helpful for students who are having trouble understanding tough topics. Ms. Kadilak is also up to date on all of the latest public school curriculum requirements which can be helpful for students intending to transition to public school or trying to ensure appropriate preparation for college.

Where do I meet with Ms. Kadilak?

Ms. Kadilak will meet you at your Boston Metro West Area home or a location of mutual convenience. Please note that when a minor child is meeting with Ms. Kadilak in your home, an adult must be in the home for the entire session. If you or another responsible adult are not able to be present for the entire session, please notify Ms. Kadilak so she can reschedule the appointment or meet the student at your local library or coffee shop.

How can I schedule a session?

Ms. Kadilak will contact you to set up your first session within 48 hours after you've submitted a contact form. Future sessions will be scheduled at this appointment or by subsequent email. Current students may click the “Book Now” button on the contact page to schedule your next session.

How much does a session cost? Do you offer discounts for multiple sessions?

Rates for sessions may vary based on course content and time requirements. Prepaid packages are available for 4 hours (about a month), 10 hours (about an academic quarter), and 20 hours (about an academic semester). The more sessions you purchase at one time, the larger discount you will receive.

Is there a discount for group tutoring?

Ms. Kadilak can work with up to 3 students who take the same class (with the same teacher). Each student will receive a 10% discount with a 2-person group, and a 20% discount for a 3-person group. In order for Ms. Kadilak to provide individualized attention to all students, groups cannot exceed 3 students.

How can I use my hours?

Sessions typically last 60 minutes, but can be extended at the discretion of the teacher, student and/or parent. When you purchase a package, each session is deducted from the total number of package hours.

How do the sessions work?

Ms. Kadilak will contact you prior to the first session. She will use your course materials to help you understand the current course material and fill in any questions you have about previous lessons. Typically Ms. Kadilak will ask some questions at the beginning of each session, teach a short lesson, and assign some questions or problems for completion during the session. She will also provide homework help if time permits.

What is your cancellation policy?

Sessions can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be deducted from your package total.
